GOBI DESERT
The Gobi Desert is a vast, arid region in northern China and southern Mongolia. It's known for its dunes, mountains and rare animals such as snow leopards and Bactrian camels. In the Gobi "Gurvansaikhan National" Park, the "Khongoryn Els" sand dunes are said to sing when the wind blows. The park also features the deep ice field of Yolyn Am canyon. Dinosaur fossils have been found at Bayanzag "Flaming Cliffs".

WHITE STUPA
White Stupa, in Mongolian known as "Tsagaan Suvaraga" is located in Ulziit district of Middle Gobi province, 400 kilometres from Ulaanbaatar. The cliffs are 30 meters high and 100 meters wide. The limestone rock has been eroded by water and wind and transformed into an interesting structure resembling the ruins from an ancient city. Its different colors represent different times in its formation history.

IKH GAZAR
"Ikh Gazariin Chuluu" is an incredibly wild and silent place. Mountains of granite rock with the highest peak at 1706 meters are situated in Gurvansaikhan district of Middle Gobi province. They spread out from west to east covering about 20 km and are rich in plants and home to many wild animals. In a natural setting there is an open air theatre here where occasional performances of Mongolia's national songs are given.

DADAL VILLAGE
Genghis Khan was born in Dadal village in 1162 at the junction of the Onon and Balj rivers. He united all the Mongol tribes and went on to conquer a region stretching from Beijing to the Caspian Sea. Located only 25 kilometers from the Siberian border, most of the population of Dadal are Buryats, who live in the Buryat Republic of Russia and in north eastern Mongolia. Their customs and language are similar to the Mongols.

WHITE LAKE
Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur "White Lake" was formed many millenia ago when torrents of lava from the nearby Khorgo volcano dammed the north and south Terkh rivers, creating the lake at 2060 meters above sea level. The lake is 16 km wide, 20 km long and 4-10 meters deep. It supports pike and other fish, as well as many water birds. Nearby is the extinct volcano with a crater 100 meters deep and covered with basalt and Siberian larch.
